The object of the game Yopigon is to be the first animal in the Forest to get 20 Pogi Fruit.
Starting out
At the beginning of the game, shuffle the Tree (deck) and deal out 5 cards to each player. Before looking at their cards, each player should choose an animal from the list (Yeti, Otter, Panda, Canary, or Cheetah) to designate which special card abilities they may use. Special buttons may be used to indicte your animal, but it is not necessary. More than one person may choose the same animal, but its not as fun that way. Each player may then play cards from their hands in from of them, face-up or down as need be, remember that cards played face-up need to have their costs paid. Arbitrarily choose a person to go first, and begin the game.
Taking a turn
Fruitfall
At the beginning of each turn, flip over the top card of the Tree. If this is a Pogi Fruit card, distribute a number of fruit tokens equal to the number on the card between the traps, starting with the traps of the player to the right of the current player and proceeding counter-clockwise. If a player has more than one trap he or she may designate which traps get fruit first.
Plotting
After fruit has been divided, the current player draws three cards from the Tree and plays any cards from his or her hand onto the table. If there is not enough room on the table, the player may return cards from the table to his or her hand, but does not get a refund for any cards that were played face-up.
Getting Stuff
If you have a stuff card in your hand at the beginning of the game or during your plotting phase, you may play it in front of you either face-up or face-down. Generally Tricks and Treats are played face-down while Traps and Treasures are played face-up.
Shelling Out
Everything has a price. Flipping a Trick against another player may be fun at the moment, but it might cost you options in the future. The number at the upper right-hand corner of any stuff card indicates it's cost. When the stuff card is played or flipped face-up that cost must be payed by discarding that number of cards from your hand and into the Leafpile.
Winning the Game
At the end of any turn where you have twenty or more Pogi Fruit tokens, you win the game!
Further Rules
It is rumoured that in the far future, the battle for Pogi Fruit becomes more desperate, such that only four awesome animals can even compete for them anymore: The Maniac Monkey, the Ninja Kitten, the Penguin Pirate, and the Assassin Seal
