Kris Othanas

Orphaned as a young child, Kris grew up not knowing his parents. One night, a tragic accident took away the life of one of the other orphans. During the commotion and weeping, Kris saw a figure he had never seen before robed in black and wearing a mask of bone reach down and lift the orphan back to her feet. Together they mounted a tall, pale colored horse and rode away. When he looked back, Kris still saw his playmate's body, broken on the ground. Kris realized that day that he felt something, standing there watching. He felt as if he knew the figure in black, as if it was someone close to him. It made him feel warm inside.

Soon after, another tragic accident befell another orphan, then another, and another. One nurse who suspected what was happening told the others that she was taking Kris on a "special outing". Taking him far into the woods, from whence she suspected he would never find his way back, she left him to die.

But Fate still held something in store for young Kris, for days later, as he was beginning to give up hope of finding a way home, he happened upon a young wanderer, who saw his terrible condition and brought him quickly to a nearby sick ward, where he was nurtured back to health. Upon waking, Kris quietly euthanized every patient on the floor and waited patiently for the man in black: The man he so suspected was his father.

Years later, Kris had become such a notorious killer that he became targeted by a team of elite demon-hunters known as Team Alpha. Working for a covert organization known as AMDA, the team hunted Kris down, worried that he might have in fact been demon-possessed; however, upon having the banishing seal placed on his forehead by a powerful demon-hunter known only as The Professor, nothing happened, thus the team returned to AMDA and left Kris to the jurisdiction of the Police, who never caught him.

Impressed by the skill of Team Alpha, Kris set out to learn more about AMDA and their soldiers. Discovery after discovery brought him closer to the inner workings of the secret organization, until one day, where he was confronted by a member of one of AMDA's scout teams, offering him a ticket to the AMDA entrance exam, a one shot opportunity to join the elite ranks.

Though his score was less than impressive on the written section, Kris finished the performance part of the exam at an exceptional rate, and was admitted to Team Epsilon as the Wraith.

Kris does not wield powerful magic, but it's effects can be useful nonetheless. He is able to manipulate shadows and cause mental illusions which work well enough for him to finish the job.
